With a robust academic background highlighted by a Doctorate Degree in IT from Walden University and a Master's Degree from the University of Liverpool, Russell brings a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insights to his role. Throughout his career, Russell has worked in areas such as Team and Operations Management, Business Analysis, Data and DevOps initiatives, ITIL, Project Management, and Solutions Architecture. Leveraging his rich professional experience, he empowers students with a holistic understanding of the intricate interplay between technology and business dynamics, equipping them with the skills and mindset necessary to thrive in today's dynamic IT landscape. Laura Sue is a warranted Occupational Psychologist and Psychotherapist having graduated from the University of London, Gestalt Psychotherapy Institute in Malta and the University of Malta. She is also accredited by the BPS to conduct occupational ability and personality psychometric assessments and is presently specializing in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) psychotherapy. She has over nine years’ experience working in the corporate environment ranging from holding senior management positions to supporting companies through transition processes, executive coaching, training, and mentoring. Furthermore, as a wellbeing professional, she is trained and experienced in various psychological and psychotherapeutic interventions. For the past six years, she operated her private psychotherapy practice working with clients in both one-to-one therapy and group sessions. She also lectures academic and professional business and psychology modules.

Steven Schiavone is a healthcare professional by trade and currently works as an HR manager within the public sector. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) awarded from the University of Chester and Masters of Science in Pharmacy, awarded from University of Malta. He has been working in the public sector for over 13 years, 11 of which were in the healthcare sector and has vast experience in different fields, including but not limited to management, auditing and Risk assessment, health & safety, operations, human resources, stock control and patient/customer service. Originally graduating from MCAST as a pharmacy technician, in the subsequent years, Steven had the drive to further increase his knowledge and enrich his portfolio to gain two masters, which allow him to carry out his duties.

An HR professional with a background in operations, Eric achieved his Master of Sciences degree in Management and Human Resources in 2022, specialising in high-level HR strategy and multicultural leadership. Paired with continuous professional development, he is currently pursuing further specialised studies in multiculturalism and international workforce management. 

He has occupied several key roles within the field of HR in past years, effectively managing different teams embarking on several national projects. In his current role as Head of Human Resources at an international company, Eric aims to continue learning and contributing to the field of Human Resources, relaying knowledge gained to students and peers at Learnkey Institute.

Jan André Sciberras holds a diverse academic background that spans from vocational training to advanced degrees. He completed his MSc in Management at the University of Chester, specialising in areas such as Strategic Financial Management and Contemporary Marketing Communications. Prior to this, he attained a B.A. (Hons) in International Business Administration from Middlesex University Malta, where he focused on subjects like Global Business Strategy and Leadership Development. Jan also pursued certifications in Advanced Employment Law and EU Funds Management, demonstrating his commitment to staying abreast of legal and financial frameworks. This rich educational journey, complemented by his work experience in managerial roles, equips Jan with a comprehensive skill set for navigating complex organisational environments.

Lecturer in Strategic Management and Leadership and on the MBA Programm

Seralie Bonett graduated with an MSc. in Occupational Psychology from the University of Leicester (UK), specialising in Leadership in 2021 after submitting a thesis entitled ‘Exploring the level of Emotional Intelligence in Leadership Positions in the Maltese Tourism Industry and the Effects on Organisational Citizenship Behaviours and Motivation (Empirical Study). Following this she embarked on a Professional Doctorate postgraduate degree through the University of Malta followed by a PhD. at the University of Kassel exploring Emotional Intelligence Evolution in AI-Enhanced Leadership. 

Seralie began her career working for the Financial Services Authority where she was entrusted with developing a performance culture and reward and recognition mechanisms, upon which she moved to a more generalist role as HR Manager in the tourism industry. She served as HR Manager for 4 years where she spearheaded and developed the HR department from ground up and had hands-on approach within HR, operations, strategy, recruitment and psychometrics assessments, L&D - training and development centres, due diligence, legal and employment law, payroll, relationship management, business development, property management, and developed leadership programmes to create a leadership succession pipeline. She moved on to serve as an HR Manager within an EUcGMP Pharmaceutical Industry holding both MIA (Manufacturing Importation Authorisation) and IMP (Investigational Medicine Product) licenses. 

She’s passionate about leadership practices and building leaders for the future, where people are always at the forefront of a business strategy. She currently teaches Strategic Management and Leadership and Master in Business Administration.
