Get Qualified Scheme 2026 Extended – 15-Year Tax Credit Validity Introduced
The Get Qualified Scheme has officially been extended under the 2026 guidelines issued by Malta Enterprise.
This initiative continues to support individuals pursuing further education and professional development by offering tax credits on eligible study costs. Under the updated scheme, applicants may benefit from tax credits of up to 70% of eligible expenses incurred when completing approved courses.
A key update in the 2026 guidelines is the extension of the tax credit validity period. Once a qualification is successfully attained and approved, beneficiaries will be issued a Tax Credit Certificate which can now be utilised over a period of fifteen (15) years. This provides greater flexibility for individuals to maximise the benefit over time.
The scheme applies to a wide range of qualifications, including higher education programmes and industry-recognised certifications. Additional incentives may also be available for individuals pursuing qualifications in STEM-related fields.
