This module equips Childcare Educators with a comprehensive understanding of inclusive care and education in early childhood. It emphasises the educator's commitment to addressing the unique needs of every child and family, employing diverse pedagogical approaches.
Furthermore, the module instils a deep appreciation for the rights of even the youngest children, as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Childcare Educators learn to safeguard and uphold these rights in their daily practices and are adept at responding in cases of potential harm or suspected abuse.
Additionally, the Childcare Educator is equipped to respond to children’s physical development and care needs, providing essential support for their healthy development.
By utilising effective physical care routines, the educator fosters the learning and development of children in their care. Collaboration with parents regarding these routines ensures a seamless and consistent approach to care. In recognising and celebrating diversity, Childcare Educators are prepared to meet the distinct needs of all children. They utilize a range of strategies to promote awareness and understanding of diversity among both children and families. Additionally, children are exposed to the official Maltese and English languages, while also being encouraged to develop their home language.
This module fosters an environment where every child and family are valued and respected for their unique background and experiences.
